It all started in the northern woods, making jerky for our trips to the wilderness using a simple dehydrator with pre-mixed flavor packets. This quickly evolved into experimenting with various spices turning the kitchen into our lab.

I can also say that while I'm into savory tastes, anything with a hot flavor is not my cup of tea ... But WOW! I'm about halfway through the bag o' jerky in an afternoon. It's chewy, but not overly so, the perfect level of hot, and tasty enough to be addictive. No cheese necessary." "I cannot have sugar and so I've looked for a long time for a jerky that didn't have sugar in it and finally found it.
